Day 11

Damn, it's cold. Usually when it's this cold, I constantly want to nibble on snacks. Now? Nothing. I eat a nice, big breakfast, and only start to get hungry again at around five in the afternoon. Lunch is something I've haven't had for almost two weeks now. And not because I'm trying it eat less. It's simply because I don't get hungry in the afternoons anymore. And I don't have that constant need to nibble on something.

Yesterday, the Wife decided to bake us a bread. She used almond nuts, grinded to a powder, as the flour, and added sunflower seeds and flax seeds, with a spoon of xylitol and six eggs, mixed it all up with some baking powder, and baked it. It smelled delicious, looked delicious, and tasted exactly as it looked and smelled! Had two slices of it (thick butter on it!) for breakfast with two baked eggs, and a piece of boerewors. What a nice, filling, breakfast!

This week we decided to set up a menu for the week, and just buy what we needed. This was to prevent the veggies from going off. I have found that veggies bought from Woolworths may be very expensive, but they tend to last a lot longer than those bought from our local greengrocers. However, buying in small quantities (for the week only) you can make sure you use it before it goes off.

Tonight we will have spaghetti bolognaise for dinner, using fried cabbage strips as our spaghetti. As a lover of cabbage, I'm definitely looking forward to it!
