Day 20

Breakfast. We all grew up with the "knowledge" that breakfast is your most important meal. But it also tends to be your most boring meal most of the time as well. Always the same boring "meal in a box"... Rice Crispies, Corn flakes, Milo Cereal. With milk, and most of the times with sugar. The only time you left out the sugar was when the cereal already had its own sugar, or when you were on one of those starvation diets.Once in a while you would have the time and energy to make a "special" breakfast with bacon and eggs, or an omelet, or something else that is nice. Or you would order one in a Wimpy...

I've been banting for 20 days now, and I've had a "special" breakfast for each and every one of those twenty mornings. Bacon and eggs, with some full-fat Greek yoghurt. Or a nice omelet with bacon, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. Or eggs scrambled with cheese, a piece of boerewors, and avocado. Or... You get the picture.

Breakfast have become a thing to enjoy again. I've never before in my life had so many nice breakfasts in a row. I feel like I've won the lottery and can now afford to eat just what I want. Joke is, I could have eaten like this for more than a year already, had I listened to my wife when she first suggested this diet last year. And who know how much weight we would have lost by now! Sorry, my Angel, you were right! :-)
